A resident who falls in the bathroom at 2 AM can lie there until the 4 AM round. A camera does not belong in there. Half of older adults who lie on the floor over an hour die within six months. Off-the-shelf sensors fire on the ceiling fan, the therapy dog and every hard sit onto the toilet, until staff mute the panel. A muted panel watches nothing. So we built Vigil. We do not sell sensors. It is the intelligence layer between the sensor and the nurse-call system, working from radar features only, never an image. We ran it over a synthetic night shift, no real residents. It stayed quiet through the fan, the dog and the hard sits, then alerted: a resident on the bathroom floor, breathing, not getting up.
