An AI drafted a sales email claiming SOC 2 Type II. The source of truth held Type I. The gate blocked it before send.
That same draft added a countdown ("only 2 onboarding slots left before Friday") and a nudge that "most of your competitors have already moved." Polished. Persuasive. And it never reached a domain, because a deterministic gate sat between the draft and the send.
Most AI SDRs optimize for volume, then bolt verification on after the email is already gone (or never). We built the Outreach Governance Gateway to invert that. An AI still drafts. Then four independent checks decide what ships: factual grounding against a source of truth, deliverability, EU AI Act Article 5, and style fidelity. Agents advise, code decides.
On this prospect two lights went red 🚫. Facts flagged a certification the source of truth does not hold. Article 5 flagged manufactured urgency and deceptive social proof. So the policy gate blocked the send, routed it to a human with the exact reasons, and issued a signed send-receipt showing every verdict. We keep receipts.
The reps and prospects here are synthetic and the integrations are simulated, so nothing was actually sent. The point is the shape. In 2026 the risk isn't a bad email, it's a rejected domain and a regulator: Google and Microsoft began rejecting non-compliant bulk mail in 2025, and EU AI Act Article 5 has been enforceable since February 2025.
If your team is thinking about how to put AI outreach in front of regulated buyers without a hallucinated claim slipping through, we'd genuinely like to hear how you're approaching it.
