An AI recommendation to approve a loan can still fail the stated credit policy.
In our synthetic lending example, a retained model response recommends approval for an application with a credit score of 559. The demo policy requires at least 620, alongside other criteria. The Validation Firewall checks the recommendation against those encoded rules and records a block.
The clip replays that cached response; it makes no fresh model call. Routing is simulated, and the checks shown do not establish legal compliance.
When reviewing lending AI, ask which policy rule the recommendation was checked against and whether the application record supports the outcome. A plausible explanation alone doesn't answer that.
