A well-prepared power request can still need an upgrade study.
In GridLens's synthetic example, a ready application has no new overload with all lines in service. Losing one monitored line produces a new overload and an upgrade-study recommendation.
This illustrative thermal screen models requested power as an injection balanced elsewhere in the network. It excludes voltage feasibility, stability and islanding, and does not approve a connection.
When reading a screening result, ask which line is constrained, which outage exposes it, and whether the overload is new or already present. That distinguishes the request's network impact from a problem that existed before it.
